Until a few years ago, I used to live just a short two-hour drive away from Las Vegas. It was no big deal for me to hop in my car on the weekends and hit the Strip for a little while.
I was able to gamble whenever I wanted to, and I admit that I became a bit spoiled in that respect. After all, there's nothing like being able to play blackjack, craps, poker, or slots anytime the urge strikes! Once I moved away, however, my weekend casino trips were no longer an option. Instead, I had to plan an all-out gambling vacation whenever I wanted some action.Being able to play my favorite casino games only while on a proper gambling vacation obviously has its disadvantages. For one thing, it meant that I could only gamble once or twice a year whereas I had been doing it nearly every weekend before. For another thing, having to take a gambling vacation meant that I had to spend money on an airplane ticket, rental car, and hotel room. This was money that I couldn't wager at the tables, so my bankroll was reduced right off the bat.
